positive and profitable change, we plan new ways of
working using as much of your existing infrastructure
and systems as possible.
Following a full analysis of your existing financial

rather than simply adding another layer of process or
technology to your existing set-up, you should invest
in the design of a fundamentally new structure.

Business Activity Modelling
Lateral Solutions has extensive experience of using
Business Activity Modelling and other industry techniques
and tools, to completely understand and rationalise
your organisation.
Using Business Activity Modelling to guide decision-making
we work in partnership with you to determine the best
way forward. We investigate whether transformation,
or Re-engineering, of the entire structure of your organisation
is not only financially expedient, but practical and
realistic too.
Although Re-engineering takes more time and requires
an in-depth intelligent understanding of all your processes,
protocols and team dynamics, once implemented the resultant
savings in time, money and energy are extraordinary.
The Blueprint
Whatever the pathway for change, we work with your
team responsible with implementation to ensure that
new processes and procedures are properly embedded within
your workplace.
Then, in order to describe the new vision on an ongoing
basis, we produce a Policies and Procedures Document,
which we call the Blueprint.
The Blueprint is shared by everyone involved in the
task of re-engineering including staff, managers, business
partners and suppliers.
It informs the team of their roles and how the new
processes will work. During the period of transformation
the Blueprint works as a checklist and benchmark for
standards to be achieved.
At the completion of the project, the Blueprint remains
with your organisation as an operational manual. This
enables any future development work to have a clear
set of procedural guidelines.
The Costs
Lateral Solutions addresses the concerns that many
have with the cost effectiveness of management consultants.
Typically, we assign a single business analyst to each
project. This provides for continuity of approach and
creates clear lines of communication. Our aim is to
complete a project in a professional and timely manner,
whilst keeping costs as low as possible.
Wherever possible we work within a fixed fee structure
agreed at the outset.
